Gnarled Old Oak Tree

I pass by this old tree every day on my way to work, down a back road in Francestown, NH. I have been watching the fungi grow into large yellow “ledges” from the crotch of the tree to the hole, where an old limb felloff. Mid-Summer, it was time to paint it!
